Pensacola Maritime Walking Trail

Developed in collaboration with three other students in our Public History Methodology course, “Making a Living on the Waterfront” consists of twelve stops beginning at the Pensacola Visitor Center and ending at Joe Patti’s Seafood Market. Other stops include Liberty Street and the Red Light District, Trader John’s Bar, Hawkshaw, Panton and Leslie Trading Company, and the B Street Schooner. Information at each stop details the general history of site while highlighting the way people have worked and made their living on Pensacola Bay from prehistoric times to the modern age. The trail is a little more than two and half miles and takes about an hour to walk.
